Hi, I'm Alyssa – Founder & Wellness-Focused Pet Stylist  

  With over 13 years in the pet care and grooming industry, I’ve had the privilege of working with many breeds of dogs & cats, blending behavior knowledge, skin and coat care, and low-stress handling to create a personalized, safe experience for every pet. I’m trained to spot subtle health changes like lumps, ear infections, or skin flare-ups—and often catch things pet parents might miss during day-to-day snuggles.

  Though I started as a self-taught groomer, I’ve built my career through hands-on experience, continued education, and mentorship from some of the industry’s best. I specialize in teddy bear clips, modified breed trims, and double-coated breeds, and I’m currently expanding into Asian fusion styling. For me, grooming is equal parts precision, creativity, and connection.

  As a Fear Free Certified Professional and AKC S.A.F.E. Groomer, I don’t believe in rushed, one-size-fits-all grooming. My goal is always to meet pets where they are, build trust, and help them feel secure. My background in vet-adjacent care allows me to safely and confidently groom pets with medical needs or mobility challenges. I’m trained in SC and IM injections—not something I perform in the salon, but a skill that’s deepened my understanding of animal handling, pain sensitivity, and safe restraint. I’m experienced in working with arthritic, geriatric, or previously  injured pets; using low-stress positioning for mobility-limited animals; and providing safe lifting and support for those with joint or spinal concerns. I also handle seizure-prone or medicated dogs with calm, steady care—always prioritizing their comfort and emotional well-being throughout the grooming process.

  Outside the salon, I’m outnumbered by two poodles, a doodle and two small children who double as full-time chaos coordinators. They don’t make many salon appearances (you’re welcome), but they’re at the heart of my stories—and the reason behind everything I do.

Hi, I’m Leah – Comfort-Centered Pet Stylist

I bring over three years of grooming experience to Adelaide’s Haven, with a special love for double coated breeds and doodles/ combination coats. Prior to the Haven, I trained and worked in a busy corporate grooming salon, where the focus was often on numbers and speed. That experience taught me a lot, but it also made me truly value the difference here- being able to provide a calm, pet-first environment where I can slow down, build relationships with the dogs on my table, and tailor every groom to their unique needs instead of following a corporate script.

I’m dedicated to providing pets with a gentle, Fear Free experience, and I’m currently pursuing my AKC S.A.F.E. Groomer and Fear Free Grooming certifications to deepen my expertise. At home, I have a doodle of my own who keeps me busy and constantly reminds me how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for during every appointment.
