She was the first dog I ever learned to groom on. She trusted me before I fully trusted myself. Through every uneven haircut and uncertain moment, she stood calmly by, giving me the space to grow. That quiet trust—her way of saying, *“You’ve got this”—*is the foundation of how I groom today: with patience, kindness, and the understanding that trust is always earned, never rushed.
Adelaide’s Haven is named in her honor, because everything about this space was created with her in mind. The calm energy. The slow, thoughtful approach. The belief that pets deserve to feel safe, seen, and comforted. Addie would have loved this place—not just because it’s quiet and cozy, but because she would’ve absolutely adored welcoming in new friends every day.
She taught me what gentle truly means. What trust really looks like. And what it feels like to be someone’s safe place. That’s what I’ve built here—a safe haven for pets who need a little extra care, a little more understanding, and a whole lot of heart.
